How do i change my screensaver design to dictionary word of the day?

Hi Kyle,

Here is how to change the screensaver to Word of the Day.

Click on the Apple icon at the very top right of your screen and select System Preferences. The System Preferences window will open and you will see rows of icons. Click on the Desktop & Screen Saver icon. In the next screen, click on the Screen Saver tab. Now you will see a list of different type of screen savers. Scroll down to the bottom and select Word of the Day. Close the System Preferences windows and now your screen saver should be set to Word of the Day.

Hope that helps!

Thank you,

I forgot the password to enter my MacBook Pro , how can i fix it?

Do a google search for reset lost password in Mac OSX.
Here are two responses from such a query:
see http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Lost-Admin-Password-on-Mac-OS-X
or
http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/reset-forgotten-admin-password-mac-osx/

Both contain specific steps too long to mention here.

I forgot my name to login and my password on macpro

The name is no problem. this, Start the laptop, in the upper left corner of screen click on the APPLE LOGO,move to SYSTEM Preferences, the folder opens move courser to "Users & Groups" click on it. Here you will find your name. Now go back to the LOG_IN screen and click on it after three times a hint will come up as to what your Password is. Provided of coarse that you filled out this question when first starting to use your computer. Other wise you may need to reload the whole operating system and start over again as new. YUK!

Override Password

You probably have set the settings that requires a password immediately after the screen goes to sleep or when screen saver kicks in.
Goto: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General... and untick the setting "Require password....." or change the setting to allow for some more time.

If you have the install disk you can change the password from the install screen. insert disk, turn off computer, start up holding the "c" key, this will get you to the instal screen, from the menu at top , depending on os version, select either utilitys or password reset.

Forgot password to log on to notebook

  1. i found this floating around, hope it helps, let me know please
Start up from a Mac OS X Install CD (one whose version is closest the the version of Mac OS X installed). You should first disable Open Firmware password protection, if it is enabled. Hold the C key as the computer starts.
  1. Choose Reset Password from the Installer menu (or Utilities menu in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger). Tip: If you don't see this menu or menu choice, you're probably not started from the CD yet.
  2. Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.
  3. Set the user name of your original administrator account.
Important: Do not select "System Administrator (root)". This is actually a reference to the root user. Do not confuse it with a normal administrator account.
