Yes aslong as the two wires are not connecting each other. white is the positive and the black is the negative. It's better if you use a voltmeter if you don't want to guess.. connecting the voltmeter to the wires. if the voltmeter goes left or did not respond reverse the test prodes or test pins, if the volt meter show 3-6 volts, look at the color of your testprodes. red is positive and black is negative.

Too much brightness when using s6800

I do not know the S6800 model specifically however, nikon cameras all generally work in the same way. Somewhere on your camera, probably a button or in the menus, there is an exposure compensation setting. The symbol Nikon uses for the button is a "+/-" enclosed in a circle (often half black on white/white on black printing). Press the button and you will either see a zero, a positive or negative number or a a scale with zero in the center with positive numbers to the right and negative numbers to the left.
If the exposure compensation is not at zero, set it to zero. Your exposures should now be correct. If it is already at zero, set it to a negative number to reduce exposure and darken the picture and to a positive number to increase exposure and lighten the picture. Let me know if this solved your problem.

New batteries but camera wot turn on

Your C613 camera will work only on those AA ni-mh battery or Alkaline battery, if you already using this battery try to re-insert the battery in opposite direction, it means instead of positive negative make it negative positive. Make sure that's you are using a fully charged battery.

When battery is placed in charger, red light blinks and battery does not charge

You can jump start the battery by taking a piece of speaker wire2.gif (any wire) and contacting it to a 9-volt battery for 30-60 seconds. Make sure to contact the positive to positive and negative to negative, or you may short the battery. After jump starting it the battery should charge as normal.

The battery (NP-20) for my Casio Exilim EX-Z75 is not charging. The light on the charger is continuously flashing red; had for approx 1yr, no prior problems. Please help! I have the exact same problem...

Okay I just fixed this on my camera the same thing. First make sure your battery is charged. You will need to get a paper clip. Take the battery out and unfold the clip so that you can use it to pull up the contacts between the battery positive and negative and the camera. The conductors need to touch the positive and negative on the battery. If you battery is dead you will need to do this as it will not charge your battery on the cradle becaue there was no connection. over time I think that the battery loses its connection and the spring is not strong enough to push up the battery far enough. I ordered a battery charger and new battery and it still didnt work so I started to tinker with it. I held the battery with my finger pushing it up and holding it, and simaltaneuously powered on the camera. Thats when I figured it wasnt the battery but it wa the connection with the battery and the camera.

hope that helps

On my camera the battery charger light is blinking and the battery is not charging

Before you get creative and directly plug your batter into an AC adapter, try something much easier first. I have the same problem with my Olympus 770SW batteries. As silly as it sounds, the charger will only work in a select few outlets in my house that I found by trial an error, actually pure frustration. I suggest, go around your house and plug the blinking charger in all the outlets and see if you find one that works. That sounds a lot less shocking than solution 1 and 2 now doesn't it? Good luck!

Black and white photos possible?

Dear Librarydumb,
Unfortuneately there is no setting on this camera to shoot directly into black and white, and you are going to have to convert the files to black and white in a program of your chooseing.

Battery

One thing that you can do and I swear it works perfectly is try fixing it with a 9volt battery. Get 2 wires and put them on the +positive and -negative connectors. Then put the other ends of the wires on the positive and negative sides of your camera. Just remember put positive with positive and negative with negative. Hold for 30 seconds and then try it again.. You can thank me later...
