System might be damanged,

You can hard reset the phone (Factory Settings)
This will reinstall the operating system inside the phone back to how it first was.
(internal memory gets formatted then the rom reloads the os back)
(Solves all kinds of problems.)

Switch the phone "OFF"
Hold "3" (button) + "Green Call" (button) + "*" (star button)
Switch the phone "ON" while holding the above three buttons.
Continue holding for about 20 seconds then let go.

Please note this will format all the saved information stored in phone memory. including phonebook numbers (if not stored on SIM card).
Try to make backups first.
You have been "Warned".

Best of Luck.

Monitor not coming on although windows logo shows up for a while. Then screen goes blank.

try booting into safe mode on your case, and try chagning the settings of your video card check the Refresh rate of your video card settigns, if you have win7 on your machine right click on the desktop left click on personalize
then left click on Display,
then click on Change Display Settings,
Click on Advance settigns,
click on Monitor TAB, you will see refresh rate, standard refresh rate would normaly be 65Hertz on standard monitor on LCD's it can be 59Hertz below.

After changing the settings in safemode restart you machine check in normal mode if your system will show video properly on the screen.

My dell inspiron 546's monitor has gone dark the screen is still visable but really dark how do i make it bright again i already tried the brightness and contrast on monitor

It might be that the CFL lighting tubes on your monitor have failed, in which case they need to be replaced. Borrow a screen to try on your computer to test if it is in actual fact the your screen that is faulty. This is normally fixed by a computer technician! If it is under warranty return it!

tricky!! oh hi im Dyanne.. a totally unresponsive black screen can be th result of failure of th LCD or LCD inverter.( a specialized piece of electronics that energize th screen) to rule out th failure of th video display adapter or circuitry, try plugging in an external monitor..a standard pc monitor.. attached direct to th lappy. if it works, (as i susopect) th motherboard and video display are both working ok and its th LCD which is at fault. this can sometimes be repaired by a competent specialist. good luck xx

- Try using a desktop monitor and check if the issue still persist, If the issue is not happening on the desktop monitor .It maybe the LCD.
- Check If you can download some manuals of your system and try to check if you can follow the instruction on how to reseat lcd cables inside your laptop. If you can do it it will help us isolate the issue.

White Screen

It could be the graphics driver or the monitor. If you had a screen saver on or had the notebook set to hibernate, turn them all off first. If you are able to view via vga port then it could be a screen problem as the driver for graphics probably would give a problem on the vga also but it's worth trying firstly a system restore in case windows has updated the driver to a generic one, which can cause prioblems. What is unusual is you have to set your desktop on the notebook to allow an extended view to your external monitor or a dual view, but your allows it automatically, normally this would have to be done from your notebook desktop view. If no change try to uninstall the graphics adapter. Go to my computer, right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager and in the next window look down the hardware list to graphics adapter, click '+' sign and your adapter should be there, so right click and uninstall, restart pc and try again
