The reset should be automatic. If the fan is running now everything should return to normal after the fan cools it down.

Hello, we have an RSW2400E. We recently moved and took our refrigerator with us. We left the refrigerator off for 24 hours and then turned it on. The refrigerator does not get very cold and the food in...

This sounds like someone may have knocked the condensor fan motor connector loose or bent a fan blade on the condensor fan in the process of moving it. Open the back of the unit and check the fan blade to see if it turns freely. Clear any obstructions. If there are no obstructions check the connector on the condensor fan motor. The key here you said it was working pre move and post move this statement is a dead give-away for a condensor fan problem: The panel that splits the refrigerator from the freezer is extremely hot. You can most likely fix this yourself.

The fan motor started making a sqealing sound about two weeks ago. Then noticed a burning smell this morning. Checked it again this afternoon and the plastic divider between the fridge and freezer is so...

you indeed do have a bad condenso rfan motor.. its the fan by the compressor behind the unit,,i couldnt find your model number on my part look up, but you can call samsung direct( cust service line) and with the entire model and serial number they will be able to determine the correct part number, you want entire condensor fan assy with housing and fan blade... it will come complte, you will simply unplug and snap in the new unit housing and all.. inn meantime i would pull unit away form wall and with a desk top fan orwindow fan blow it on te compressor to keep it cool you dont want to overheat the compressor. the youll have major problems

The divider is overhot

I can tell you this..its most likely the condensor fan motor has stopped turning. it could have something stuck between the blades so remove back cover and find your fan motor..It will have a 5" fan blade on it. this is where you'll look for something between the blades. If nothing there. Be careful and spin the fan blade to see if it will start..If it does..It will most likely fail and you'll need a new motor. If you have a portable window fan or something like it...Have the fan blowing towards the compressor and leave it behind the refrigerator to keep air blowing and this will make your refrigerator freeze and cool...until you get a motor

My refrigerator has a burnt wire smell. The fans are running but the freezer doesn't seem as cold as it should be.

I'm guessing the condensor fan motor is not running. they smell like an electrical odor when they stop..remove back cover and see if something has gone into the blade area and stopped the motor from turning. if so, remove it ..if not, spin the blade and see if motor starts..if so, order new can use a floor fan to blow air towards compressor until you get a motor

One fan blade stopped working and is hot to touch

The motor is 'locked up' that's where the heat is coming from. It may have a bad bushing or something is jammed. Give it a good look over you may see it. Does the blade feel hard to turn?

Subzero 630 hot door jamb

If the door jambs are hot, that is either a dirty condensor or a dead condensor fan motor. Make sure the condensor is vacuumed and check to see if the condensor fan is spinning. It should be running anytime either compressor is on. You can clear the service light by holdint the "alarm: button for 15 seconds or turning the unit off and then on again.

Not working

if your fan is not runnig now it would be in your best interest to turn the machine off and call a service company so you don't do any damage to the compressor. you can reset macine back to default setting by turning the rf off for 4 min then turning it back on. if that does not get your fan running turn it off until a tech looks at it

Hot to the touch

Kathy, you probably have a condensor fan that failed. Remove the lower back panel behind the refrigerator. You will see the condensor, condensor fan and compressor. The condensor fan should be running any time the compressor is running. You might have something stopping the fan blades or the motor might be going bad itself. What you are describing is a classic example of a failed condensor fan motor. Catriver.
