I've tried everything, it still says the following tank cannot be recognized... it's the pink cartridge...I only want to print in black and it won't work if any color cartridge is empty...this is ridiculous! PLC Help!

6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.
Manually move the print head left and right, and turn the printer on/off. I would also inspect the rollers for ANY debris... it can often be fixed by using "canned air" and blowing the interior out completely.
5110 is carriage lift mechanism error.First, make sure there is no paper jam anywhere in the machine.. look inside, rear, where the paper tray (output) is, etc to see if you find any shreds or torn paper that may have gotten stuck and you didn't see.Look carefully in the zone of Purge unit, using flashlight in the right side on printer. If this not help your printer need service.
This could be the problem - Take out your catridges and slide the cart over towards the left a bit. You will need a little mirror for this. Look through the rectangular cutouts at the bottom of the carriage, and find what looks like 2 very tiny black sensors. I think these pick up the lights from the LEDs in the cartridge, and I spilt ink on these while refilling my carts. Take a cotton bud and clean these off. As soon as I did this the error went away and printer is 100% OK again. (This was an MP530 - but should be similar) Cheers.
