Mp3 trouble. I deleted the main file on my mp3 player, can the file be restored?

Sometimes a firmware upgrade will provide enough of a replacement - go to manufacturer's website and see if you can get the firmware upgrade. In some cases, this type of deletion can be difficult/impossible to fix.

If you want an easy way to delete the files follow these instructions

Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Accidentially deleted some files from my Trio 430 mp3 player. how can I restore them


im sorry with a computer stuff that you delete is stored untill more stuff is deleted to write over the top but with stuff like this it is not and if it was deleted from the pc even it will not store them as the files are not native im sorry to give you bad news buy i have answered your question and even though i knew the answer i checked for a long time to see if any programs could restore stuff but *** i thought they cant as there is no were to store the files that have been deleted please make your payment as soon as possible as we have been having trouble with people not paying recently thanks

I need to delete some songs off of my slick mp3 player and don't know how.I went to Computer on my main menu and I don't understand how to delete certain songs.

Hi, follow the instructions below to reset your Nextar mp3 player

To customize the player settings:
(1) On the main menu, select the “Settings”item and press the MENU button to enter the
system settings mode.
(2) Press the PREVIOUS/NEXT button to select setting item and press the MENU button to
confirm or press the PLAY/PAUSE button to cancel/return.

(4) Load Default - Restore the player to default setting

Is there a way to delete all files on the player and start new? When I delete individual files, it still leaves the name of the file on the player. It is a Nextar MA797.

Did you try to go from the Main Menu into the EXPLORER ?

Explorer Controls
When you choose EXPLORER mode from the Main
menu, you will see the File Explorer screen. You can
find and delete files or folders from the player.
Function Key Action
To browse through the list of
files & folders
Press <UP> or
<DOWN>
To select a folder Press <ENTER>
To return to the previous screen Press <LEFT>
To delete a selected item Press <MENU>
To return to the Main menu Hold <MENU>

Need help


The system files on the player have been corrupted or deleted.

Install and run the Philips Device Manager form the product CD.

Connect the player to the mains and the PC.

Select the repair / restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and restore the system files.

NOTE: The HDD065 is only compatible with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11.

there is not i have the some one there is some files you can not delete them at all if you do the player will not play then you have a big problem that might not be fixed i have deleted it before but i am glad that i save every thang use windows midea player 64k not 32k works better mp3 and wma only to restore i have what you need email me a damron_smith@yahoo.com and I will email you the files you need to put back on the mp3 player
