To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video. If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphone driver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured in Skype.
To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back. If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype.
To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options - Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
