Verifone vx 510 bad rtc chip please reboot - VeriFone VX510

I am not familiar with that CC reader, but RTC mean "Real Time Clock" have you tried just to set the date/time?

First of all BAD RTC can be fixed. Problem will come up if your internal battery is going bad and most of the time it comes with the "TAMPER" message also. By replacing the internal battery and reloading the Verifone program will solve the problem.
Just to let you know the Verifone machines are equipped with multiple sensors inside it. If for some reason the sensors were disturbed (i.e. broken plastic casing, unit dropped,...) , the machine will come up with the BAD RTC and TAMPER message too. your power comm board is fry that's why it will not work the only way is to replace the board you have what we call power surge to the board

Hi usualmente el mensage de BAD RTC es causa de los sensores que la maquina tiene adentro talves esten desalineados la unica forma de reparar este problema es abriendo la maquina y checarla pero al mismo tiempo cuando usted la arma de nuevo le sale el mensage de TAMPER ERROR para eso necesita el software para quitarle ese mensage si necesita mas ayuda contactenos al 775 358 2922

The "RTC chip" is an integrated circuit that provides the R(eal) T(ime) C(lock) functionality. If your device cannot keep the correct date & time, it's time to replace it.

To reboot, turn the device off, and then remove the battery.
Wait 60 seconds, reinsert the battery, and turn the device on.
