Star Manufacturing Star TSP700 Receipt Thermal Printer Logo
Posted on Oct 22, 2010

The star tsp700II receipt printer I have was working great and then one day it started feeding paper before each receipt. So it wastes about 6inches of paper on every receipt. I cannot figure out what changed or how to fix it. HELP! I am wasting so much paper.

Our Star TSP700II leaves about 1/4 inch of unused paper on the roll when the error light comes on and the printer stops printing. Is there any way we can make an adjustment so that we're not wasting so much paper?

The printer just keeps printing an incripted code, then feeding blank paper & starting over again until it's out of paper. We have to turn it off in order not to use up all the receipt paper.

Hi Star Customer

Please make sure the printer is configured to use ESC/POS by opening the printer software and select ESC/POS mode.

Extra Long Receipts

we have Star TSP 700II and it is doing the same. not just 4inches but sometimes it adds extra 20-30 inches blank space. I think it was due to incorrect paper size settings.
Why dont you to go printer properties->Device settings and change the Friction size..as well as set Pagecut to Partial.
Also change preferences under Properties, advanced and change papersize to what suits you .
pl let me know what happens soon

Trying to use star sp200 with quickbooks pos and keep getting spread out printing

Sounds like the "template" is set for "letter size" paper rather than "receipt" paper.

Go to "Workstation" Preferences, and then "Printing". Verify the template selection.

My star tsp600 has stopped working properly. The auto cutter no longer works and the receipt paper does not advance fully.

You will need to take the printer in for a service. The cutter is Jammed and that causes the fault on the paper feed.

Along with receipt an extra 6" of paper feeds parrell dos base program

In your accounting software is there a way to add a greeting or salutation to the bottom of your receipts? Something like Thanks for your business come again soon? I'm wondering if someone got into that part of the software and although they didn't actually type any greeting or message in there that the printer would print but maybe instead put in a blank area by hitting the enter key several times so that the printer saw the space there and created it? If that isn't a solution i'd need to know more about your accounting software.
