Yes you can bring it to a reliable and skilled cellphone technician specially if your phone is still covered by the service and parts warranty period just bring it to the accredited service center of PANDIGITAL together with your receipt when you purchase it..But if its not covered by the warranty period consider the cost of repair if the cost is almost the same when you buy a new one so it much better to buy a new one but if the cost of repair is not that high it is much better for you to hire the service for the repair of your phone..Hope it will help you..
i had the same problem.
uninstall activ sync 4.5
re-install it and when it asks wat to sync unclick everything.
you wont be able to get your contacts back btw but now you know wat to do for future sync.
I also own an ipaq 4700 and experienced the same problem. Even after reloading the OS I continued to have this problem. I did buy it refurbished but I fear this may be a common hardware problem. From my research it would appear the battery is the most likelyculprit, I have not tried replacing mine but it may be worth a shot, if nothing else you have an extra battery which means less time at the charger :D

Though Docs to Go is supported by Palmone, it is still a 3rd party software and will jam your unit like you wouldn't believe. I reloaded mine 15 times before I gave up and quit using it. The Fatal error is an all out jam. The Docs can even duplicate themselves and yes you end up dumping the program from your e2 and reloading before it will work again. The e2 is good and I made mine do internet wirelessly but could never whip Docs.
