My web browser is not working. i cant acces the internet

Make sure your ethernet cable (RG45 , looks like , bigger version of telephone cable) is plugged into your (ethernet) port of the computer and the other end of the cabel must be conncted to the modem or router). make sure the router has power and the modem has power, both turned on .
Are the lights on the modem or router lit up ?
the modem must be attached to the router via anolther RG45 ethernet cable. The modem must be conncted to a main signal cable or ethernet jack from your wall outlet or plug
