I had the same problem and went back to where I bought it. They were very helpful. When you switch the lever over there is a hole it has to be threaded through that is not even green. It only comes out when you switch the lever. don't forget to switch the lever back

Is a site I just located where one can download a Manual. Ours was lost in Hurricane Ike. Janome apparently does not feel the need for customer support!

Keep you granddaughter away from your overlocker. I do understand your frustration, because I don't even have a granddaughter and I still struggle with the threading.

My janome mylock 644d threads are continually breaking, have threaded the machine correctly, will sew for a few centimetres and then thread breaks. Any suggestions?

If you have not already done so, try changing your needles. Sometimes the needles will be slightly bent or dull and cause thread breaks. If this does not help check your tensions. These should be set somewhere between 4 and 6 generally. If one is far out of this range, try resetting it. If you try both these things and still have trouble, it is likely that your machine is out of time. In this situation it would be best to take your machine to a reputable sewing machine repair shop for repair. Retiming a serger can be very difficult for a novice, and can be quite and unpleasant and tedious job, best left to a professional who is well versed in serger repair.

How do i uses a janome Mylock 534 or mylock534D for sweing? I cant even seem to thread the thing correctly, when ever i thread the mashine it only stiches for about 3 cms. must have the needles unthreaded any time you re-thread the loopers. So thread the loopers and then thread the needles and see if you have better results.

I need to know the proper tension of a Janome 334d Mylock.

Check there is no thread caught in the tension units and set them ALL to 3 for the Factory setting......try a sample.....if it looks good, OK, if not, try to balance it by gently altering the knobs on the right (loopers) until they form an even tension in balance with each side of the fabric.

Lower right thread (green) keeps coming out of its eye!

Dear Louise I had the same problem and it was suggested to me that I change the needles as one of them could be bent. I have done this and the problem is no more. Good luck sewhat

My serger

Self threading is perhaps not exactly correct, however there is a guide with an armature to release the guide to enable easy access........have a look in you manual

Also take a look at this image and move the lever to use it.....all will be easier to see with the needle plate off ....until you become familiar with the operation

Yes, the model I used had a self threading lower looper. Just put the thread into the guide and flick the switch
