Yep, it's:-
Crl + Alt + (Arrow key)

Depending on which arrow key you press, the screen will rotate differently.

If for some reason, the above does
not work, try the steps below.

    1. Go to: Start, Settings, Control
      Panel, Display.

    2. Click Settings tab.

    3. Click Advanced.

    4. Intel Extreme Graphics or Intel
      Random (screen icon)

    5. Graphic, Properties

    6. Rotation-Normal

How to Rotate My Desktop Display!!! It's on it's side!!!

I have had many requests for this one, Oh no my desktop has been turned on it's side!!!
The desktop is rotated 90 degress either to the left or to the right and can make life rather difficult.

It is in some cases a terrifying sight.
Well we are going to set it back to the default 0 degrees, Landscape view, that we all use and have come to love.

There are to ways of doing this.
This is the first way;
On a normal desktop display, one that is in landscape 0 degree view, you should find an Nvidia green logo, placed at the bottom right hand side of your screen. Located near the Volume silver speaker icon.
Right click the Nvidia logo and navigate to Rotation Settings.
Select ROTATE 0 Degrees.

The other way is to navigate to the control panel and double click Nvidia Control Panel.
On the Left hand side under the Display heading, click Rotate Display.
Ensure to select the NO ROTATION (Landscape) Option.

Happy Computing!
damnor01

My screen display is rotated 90-degrees, so it now is "portrait" rather than the traditional landscape.

This is actually a feature you can use for monitors that rotate. The cure is easy to do - open control panel, then click on display (or right click on desktop, select properties) then click on settings. Then click on advanced. One of the tabs should be something like catalyst control center. Click it, then start it. It takes a minute for it to open. One of the settings on the left side controls the rotation.

An upside down display is caused by unintentional pressing Ctrl-Alt plus the down arrow key.
Restore by pressing Ctrl-Alt plus the up arrow key.
ALSO
To change the display from portrait to landscape
Press Ctrl-Alt plus a left or right arrow key.

My monitor rotated by 90 degrees. How do I get it back?

Right click on the desktop in an area away from the icons, scroll down until you either see something like "ATI Control Panel" or Nvidia Control Panel...
If you don't just scroll down to properties. If there is a control panel for the display settings then look in the left hand pane and you will something that references "Orientation". Choose either "0" degrees or "Landscape" as the setting. In properties, click on display settings and look for the text "Orientation"...make sure that says "Landscape". Click "Apply" and OK.

My acer aspire one netbook display was rotated 90% counter clockwise by accident. How can I restore the display to normal

Right click on the desktop away from the icons. Scroll down untill you see something like ati or Nvidia control panel. Select that and look in the left hand side for either screen orientation or screen rotation. Choose 0 degrees or landscape.

You can also get to these settings through the control panel > display settings > Screen Orientation > Landscape.
