Maytag Oven model MER5755QAQ has lock on the display and the oven will not operate.

If one of the position switches on the latch assembly is not reading, the control will sometimes lock because it "thinks" a clean cycle has been initiated, if replacing the control did not fix the lock icon, test the switch... Incorrect temp probe and thermostat failures can also make a control "think" it is in a clean cycle. Hi i have Frigidaire electric stove model# ples389ecd stove part works oven displays f 30 and half of key panel doesn't work. Replaced board, key panel , probe still have f 30 problem and key panel...

Hi u_odil,

The F30 on your display means that your oven thinks that your oven sensor is shorted. It's either a bad oven sensor or a bad display relay control board. You can't test the board but you can test the sensor. Open the door and remove the 3-4" long thin metal rod attached to the back wall. There are 2 screws holding the sensor on that you can remove and then pull the sensor forward until you can disconnect it. With a multimeter, check the resistance of the sensor at room temperature and it should be about 1080 ohms. If it's not, replace the sensor, otherwise you need to replace your relay board.

Hope this helps.

Oven does not work after cleaning, shows F1 on screen

The "F1" fault code indicates an error in the electronic oven control circuitry. The failure is most likely the electronic oven control board and a slight possibility of a faulty oven temperature sensor probe. The oven temperature sensor should have a resistance measurement of 1050 to 1100 ohms at room temperature. The oven temperature sensor can be remove from inside the oven cavity and tested using an ohm meter. If the sensor measures approximately 1050 to 1100 ohms, replace the oven control board.

While baking a casserole, the oven shut off with the display showing "PF" and the next display was "loc". The diplay works as do the gas burners. I understand that "PF"...

Hello,

This means the control board has a short. You would need to replace the board to fix the issue. Simply remove the screws on the side and underside of the panel the control panel will rotate down and out. There are four small screws that mount the control to the panel. I know this oven well. The clock is the issue..

I am trying to clean my oven and I keep getting the F5 on the screen. What do I need to do?

HI. This is essentially an ERC or Electronic Range Control Board failure code. The relays are welded or the logic sector has failed. You will need to replace the control board that is mounted in the control section of the unit. The affected board is mounted on a bracket in the control panel. There is a wiring harness pug that will nee dot be removed before the board can be extracted for replacement. Just replace the old with the new and plug the new board into the harness connectors. be sure to label the connectors so that you wont forget were they connect.

Getting a error code F3E2

The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven. This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board. If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe. If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair this oven failure. If you want to attempt to diagnose and repair this failure yourself, resubmit your question with additional details.

Good luck and please rate FixYa!

Have a frigidaire es510, i am getting an f20 err when I amtrying to use the stove

Hi ,

This is the code for a communication failure between EOC (ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL) & ESEC system
1. Test harness/connections P4 (EOC) & P11 (Surface Element Control Board)
2. If harness checks O.K. failure can be caused by faulty UIB, Surface Element Control Board or EOC.
Check on the back of the stove there should be an envelope attached to it that has service paperwork in it with diagrams
It will most likely need a new oven control very easy to replace just remember to remove the power to the unit before you work on it.
