How to fix a psp that has been canceled the update then got a black screen when you open?

If the firmware update gets interrupted, it corrupts the PSP's operating system, and will not boot. This is called "bricking" your PSP, and seems to be the case here.

You will have to send in your PSP to Sony to be fixed. There are options posted online like hacker's tools to fix bricked PSPs, but this will void any existing warranty, and will usually leave a footprint that Sony support can detect, and will refuse service if they discover that you have tampered with your PSP.

The safest choice is to have it sent in to support for them to re-install everything.

Error 80410205 It is an error code for psp

First of all, psp can browse the internet with its simple browser.

BUT! What you may not know is that there is a bug where when you try to search or use a wireless lan connection (WLAN) the psp may say something like:

Internal Error
(80410A0B)

To fix this without any memory loss, take out the UMD which is in the psp, and also take out the memory card.

Next, go to settings, then system settings and click restore settings, the psp may freeze up, but it is not broken, take out the batter pack and put it back in, the settings should be restored and all should work.

Sony hotlines dont seem to tell you how to fix it, many people often go buy a new or swap their psps, but all you need to do is this!

Broken PSP

when you say scanner do you mean laser that reads the umd?

you could replace the laser from one off ebay
but the thing with replacing lasers is that adjusting the laser so it reads the disk it tricky

here is a shop that repairs lasers in psps
http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/ipaqpart1418.html

or if you want to do it your self

I LIVE IN INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA I WAS WONDERING WHERE DO I GO TO GET MY PSP FIXED THE SCREEN IS CRACKED/ BROKEN

Not too many places repair PSPs for several reasons. 1) They cannot find parts, 2) They do not know parts are available and 3) They lack the expertise. You do not want someone working on your PSP who is not experienced. Things can go wrong and they can get more expensive. The following website can repair your PSP and they have been doing it for many years now:

Getting custom firmware when i have v5.51

Yes it is possible, depending on what model your PSP is. There is a special Battery that will allow older PSPs to go into a type of "service" mode, allowing you to upgrade or downgrade at your will. There is much more information on this here:
http://pspupdates.qj.net/Noobz-C-D-release-Pandora-s-Battery-unbricker-for-all-PSPs/pg/49/aid/100579

It is referred to as an "Unbricker" which means to fix a broken PSP that was flashed incorrectly, or attempting to upgrade to a custom firmware and failing during the process. When that happens the PSP becomes "bricked", and before this Pandora's battery was created the PSP would have been doomed as a paperweight.

So YES! It is possible, but it is difficult if not impossible to do without knowing someone that has experience in modding PSPs and the required hardware and software, aka the Pandora's Battery. You can purchase one of these batteries from online retailers that I will not list as I'm not here to promote specific sites!
