Question about Buffalo Technology AirStation G54 WHR-HP-G54 Wireless Router (DHWHRHPG54)
I have 2 Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 routers and 2 Antennex antennas at 2 locations about .48 miles apart. The 2 locations have line of sight of each other. When i first installed the system, it was working great. 1ms ping times consistent for a month. Then over night it stopped working. I put the 2 routers side by side , it worked fine , and when i pointed 1 antenna to the other , i am getting the connection. but when i put it back at the separate locations it does not work. When the routers were working perfectly, it was set to bridge and was transferring at about 3MB/s, now the ping time is not consistent. I was thinking that the router is not powering up the antenna properly, because when i used another access point (which is more powerful), it works perfectly on both locations. but when i put the antennex to antennex , the connection drops. Please help me diagnose this problem so that i can return it to the way it was intended to work.
Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.
