Apple IMAC Computer

I have a 4 year old Apple IMAC desktop computer. All of a sudden I cannot receive any incoming emails. I can send outgoing emails. I do not know what might have caused this to happen without any apparent reason. Does anyone know what might cause my computer to block incoming emails and what I should do to try to fix it?

Thank you.

It maybe because it might be a little problem. the mail incoming is currently not sending mail to the server, which mail recieves messages from. in order to solve the problem. you need to fix the settings. what is your mail provider?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I put my email address (already on my ipad) on to my applemac main computer?

I believe you will need to manually set up your email program on your apple main computer by entering the correct email settings.
Under the Mail menu select the drop down listing called Accounts.
Select the mail service you wish to use, for example Gmail.
Double click on the mail service icon and it will open into a screen where you enter all of your settings include your email address. If you have not used your apple mac computer before for email, you will also have to fill in information on the web address of your mail server, you password, etc.

If you wish to ready you email on both you desktop mac and your ipad, I recommend you select the IMAP protocol (not POP) for email service which let's you see your email on either device whether you have already looked at a message or not.

How do i get a copy of my insulation start up disk

Assuming your is lost, sometimes you can find installation start up disks for sale on eBay. You must specify your model of mac and search under operating systems.
The reason you would want the installation disk that came with your machine is so you can get the programs that came with your mac in addition to the operating system. You might check on line, many of these programs are available for download from apple for free in their App store.

Speakers pro from apple G4 to a macbookpro... other option for the ifire

The Apple Pro speakers will only work on the iMac G4. They use a non-standard audio jack and can't be used with any other computer. I think some companies make adapters for them though.

Need to know how to use Apple Pro Speakers with Apple iMac Comp.

Does your iMac have a headphone jack, this is an output source that can be used to input to other amplified sources. I'm not sure what type of connector that is on your Pro speakers but if it has a universal jack then plug this in the headphone jack on your computer.

Install Boston Acoustic speakers BA7800 to a new Imac?

Partial Solution anyway - I just got a Mac Pro (2.66 Nehalem )and couldn't find the manual from my old Gateway 700XL. This is what I did: Plug the green wire into the analog output, and the pink wire (if you really need an external mic, but you shouldn't since our new computers both have a built-in mic) into the analog input. Just ignore the black wire. You won't have the 2 surround speakers, but I'm still looking for a fix for that. I got tired of the crappy speakers in my new Apple Cinema display (the ONLY crappy thing about my new system). As you know, the sound from the BA7800 is great, even with just the two front speakers and sub-woofer. I'll keep you posted if/when I figure out how to set up the surround speakers! Likewise, if you hear something, please post here and I'll keep checking back.

Frozen e-mail

Reinstall your e-mail software. Trash your e-mail preferences, but make a copy first. Then restart your computer, then your e-mail program and try to pull mail off your server again.
