The drain for a GE bottom mount refrig is located under the plastic panel at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment under the crisper drawers. There are two plastic pieces, one is about six inches long and runs the width of the refrig compartment which is right at the door seal. This piece is held on by two plastic tabs located approximately an inch from each end. By inserting a small srew driver under the panel and lightly prying up you should be able to pull the panel straight out. The the other plastic panel can be easliy pulled out. Under the styrofoam cover you will see the drain behind the evaporator fan. It is a two inch by four inch metal valley pan at the back wall which feeds to a black pipe at the bottom and in the back of the refrigerator. If you are having problems with ice clogging the drain and stopping the fan blades from turning, chances are it is either the defrost thermostat (mimetal switch) or the defrost timer.

My Frigidarie model #: FRS26ZGH is freezing water on the bottom of the freezer and leaking out onto the floor. I understand that the drain plug may be frozen. However, I do not see a drain plug or know...

The drain trough is at the bottom and way way back on the freezer side. After you get rid of the ice you need to get a flashlight and look way in back and at the very bottom of the freezer. You should be able to see the drain trough. It will be frozen, you need to get rid of the ice and then clean out the drain tube.A hair dryer might work to melt the ice but be very carful not to melt anything on the refrigereator. Then you can put hot water in the trough to be sure that the drain line is clear. Hope this helps.

You need to unfreeze the drain at the back bottom of the freezer section. Pull out the bottom wire rack, and you'll see a small drain hole. Use a turkey baster and put hot water down it. If you have the manual, it has instructions.

Water in the bottom of MSD2754GRW on the freezer side

Tinkertatt,,
I just found a puddle of ice on the bottom of my freezer. After researching on this site I determined the drain plug was stopped up. I UNPLUGGED freezer. I removed selves and mounting brackets. I then remover the metal condenser cover in the back. There was quite a layer of ice on the bottom and the hole was indeed stopped up. After some cleaning and thawing I put it back together and am hopeful that the problem is resolved. Not really an easy job and there are lots of sharp edges and very limited space to work. There are other more in-depth direction on this site if you look around. Good Luck

Same problem as above on my side by side refrigerator, same age.

The fact is you need to remove the rear panel inside the freezer. The fan is behind that panel. Please read all you can at the 2 links posted below. The clorox will be used to help stop the smell in the condensate lines and pan near compressor. Every smell is carried through the evaporator condensate line to be returned to the air inside your home.

Freezer drips water into frigde filling up ottom tray

Hello, If it is a top mount freezer then there is a drain that runs from the freezer to the drain pan that gets gummed up sometimes and if that happens then the water has no place to go but the fridge. Look all the way in the back of the fridge and you'll see a yellowish colored tube. You can just pop that out and take it to the sink and clean it out.. Hope this helps

Water leaking out from the inside bottom Jenn Air JRSD245L

It sounds from what you described is a clogged drain line pull the bottom drawer out and look at the bottom of the back wall. see if the drain is backed up with ice if so use the back end of a rubber handle screwdriver and lightly tap the ice until it breaks up clean up the best you can around the drain and pour some hot soapy water down until to you hear it going into the drain pan.. a cup will do....>>the water comes each time the unit goes into defrost as the heaters melt the frost build up on the evaprator it melts and is suppose to go down the drain but if it is blocked then it forms at the bottom of the freezer floor..let me know if you still need the wiring diagram I can email it to you. Hope this fixes YA !
