Back up your files and buy a replacement drive the grinding noise is the hard drive experiencing mechanical failure and may stop working soon.

HAVE HP M9250F HOME COMPUTER IT IS GOING SLOWER THAN MY 1.5 COMPUTER THE HARD DRIVE MAKES LOUD RUNNING NOISE ABOUT EVERY 5 MIN. FOR ANY WARE FROM 5 SEC TO A MIN JUST LOADED RECOVERY CDS AND IT RUNS SLOWER...

Have you run an Anti Virus scan?

Goto Task manager.
From there you can see what processes are running. Norton and Symatec will hog your resources.. End the process that is causing the problem.. careful here.. Some of the Microsoft processes are essential for operation..
After you locate the culprit..
Start>Run> msconfig>startup
Disable the program that is causing the problem and reboot..

Maxtor 3000LE makes noise and will not show up on my computer

You will need a data recovery specialist. Hard drives making noise need to be taken apart and put into a special machine to pull what data is not damaged. The more you leave the drive on or play with it the more data is destroyed.

Acer aspire4920 makes loud noise at start up

This could be caused by the harddrive. There might be a bad bearing or something. Please backup all your data. You will probably have to replace the hard drive sooner or later.

Computer noise

More likely one of the fans, but could be the hard drive. Open the case and listen. Fan on power supply, fan on processor, or hard drive are the most likely sources of the noise. Processor fans and power supplies are both cheap and easy to replace. Hard drive is a bit more expensive and you must back it up (which you already regularly do, right?) if you want to keep your data.

My computer makes a loud noise, how can I fix this problem please?

there are a limited number of things that could be making noises. take off the cover of your computer and listen close when you start it. A fan would be the first thing i'de suspect. check them all- cpu fan- motherboard fan-videocard fan- powersupply fan.
I would also listen to the powersupply (rear top of computer)
only things left to check that could be making noise are the cd/dvd rom, floppy drive (both wont run without a disk in them) and your hard drive which would be the last one to make noise. the hard drive runs everytime your computer moves data, if it is getting loud, i would suggest backing up important files and shopping for a new one. Post again here if I can be of further assistance.
Regards..

Upon starting up, HP Laptop dv6000 makes very loud alarm sound. After it begins to start, it makes loud clicking noise.

That is your hard drive, telling you it is going to stop working in the very near future. Suggest you make backups of all your favorites as soon as possible. Use windows backup, it'll back up your pics, docs, email, and favorites for the Internet. An even better idea is if you can make an exact image of your hard drive, then you could copy it to a new hard drive and it would look exactly like yours is today. You would have to buy a third party software like Ghost or Acronis back up..my favorite is Acronis as it is easy to use and makes and exact image of your drive. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hp pavilion dv 1000 pc notebook

Your HDD may be the problem, but not one that I would attribute to this noise. It sounds like based on the information I have been given you may have some device issues steming from your keyboard. You may want to consider replacing that! This is only speculation. I need more information, like when did it start, how long, did you install anything different on it? Basic questions like that! Let me know!
