Jammed paper deeper inside of machine

Hello, please advise. I must have some jammed paper deeper inside the machine. I have opened all doors and taken out the toner cartridge and see nothing regarding paper but the piece I pulled out originally from the tray area was not whole so I know some paper remains.
Thanks, Mary

Hello, I take it the fuser is the drum? I've been all over this machine as much as possible without taking screws out. How do you remove the fuser? I am unable to use the machine at all as "jammed papaer" is the only comment.

Take out the drawers first and see if you can find any paper from that area. Let me know how this goes.

you can also try manually spinning the rollers to see if anything will come out.

You see the access door in the back where you would remove a jam? That
is the back side of the fuser unit. You'll have to take the scanner top
off and the other back panels to unplug the scanner and controls....the
sides, the laser assembly, other things... and finally you'll have to
disassemble the fuser in order to remove it and get access to the
sensor arm and to the piece of paper still assumed to be jammed in the machine, if the sensor is broken, it may have to be replaced.

Just look and remember where all the parts go.

Be bold... but don't yank on anything. Take your time. No sledge hammers are needed.

If the sensor arm is broken, you
can't just remove the broken sensor arm. The printer needs it to know
where the paper is during its travel. It will need to be fixed or
'engineered' back to a functioning form.

    Good Luck

Try removing the fuser to check inside of it and behind it for paper scraps. (Note: the fuser gets extremely hot, so make sure your printer is unplugged and cool before touching the fuser!)

Steps to clear paper jam.

Please perform the below steps.

1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Paper jammed

Hi Good day!!!
Here are some steps to remove paper jam

1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands on the metal tools inside the chassis.

2. Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, between the feed tray and the print carriage or between the print carriage and the output tray.

3. Take off the front paper tray. If the sheet jammed around here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4. Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Don't tug too quickly. You might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.

5. Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.

6. Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to get at the jam.

7. Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
