I had the same debilitating Error. The problem ended up being the PLASTIC GEAR on the stapler shuttle drive motor (M10) was slipping on the motors shaft so it could not move the stapler off of the home position. The gear had cracked on the inside. it was hard to see. I'm finding that this is a common problem of gears on machines of this age.

An E532 happens when the stapler unit either does not move from front to rear, or rear to front, or hangs up and stops part of the way. A broken stop gate can get in the way of a stapler and keep it from moving. Usually the two inside gates are the problem. The bottom spring may have fallen off when the plastic tab on the bottom of the gate (which holds the spring) breaks off. Or the parts of the gates that come in contact with the white rollers on the stapler assembly become dry and need to be greased to allow the stapler to slide past them. Also check the wiring harness that runs from under the stapler, through an opening and then connects to the stapler itself. Wires have been known to break internally at the wire-tys and cause erratic E532s. Check each wire with a meter for continuity. Hope this helps a little.

What is the error code 000532-0001 in Canon machine ir7200?

Condition
In the Sorter/Finisher unit The stapler does not return to stapler shift home position. Could be a sensor, motor, or various things can cause this. You can check to see if something is in the way blocking the stapler movement.

Error Code F1-87 Finisher Trouble on Sharp AR-M350U+

It is a stapler rotation error. The stapling tray pressure arms become dull at the tips, so when the stapler attempts to move into position to make the staple it cannot move the guides out of the way.

First choice) Replace the (4) stapling tray pressure arms (LSTPP0357FCZZ). After you replace them you'll see that the tips get worn down, and wedge into place so that the black support plates cannot move out of the way of the stapler. The black plates look warped, but they aren't (I should say they always look like that).

They are fairly easy to get to. You do have to remove the finisher from the copier. Remove the front and rear covers. Open the right door. Pull the pins that retain the door. From there you'll see the arms. They can be changed with a little maneuvering.

2nd Choice) Clip overtight wire ties to the stapler rotation home position sensor.

3rd Choice) Shake down the stapler to its bottommost position (wherever it settles is fine). Adjust the flag that triggers the stapler home position sensor. If I remember correctly its the narrow **** in the flag.
