I have used Nakamichi PA506 quite some time. PA 506 is 50w x 6ch (at 4ohm), and PA504 is 50w x 4ch (at 4ohm). The sound quality of Nakamich amplifier is very good, however it gets very hot indeed.
In Japan there was modified version available which eased the getting-hot problems.
Phoenix Gold Titanum series amplfier is also very good one for sound quality and you don't get the heat like Nakamichi's.
If you normally play longer hours in your car, I would rather not recommend Nakamichi amplifier.

The Nak is nice but you'd be giving away a little bit of power to the PG amp. That being said the PG ti series amplifiers still have great SQ when set up properly. Heck I've got a 50Wx2 section of my PG Outlaw running my Dynaudio's and it's still sounding very clean...
