Re: I want to get a new mother board for my toshiba...
For you laptop motherboard all you need is to give you supplier the model number of you laptop and they should be able to supply you with the exact, right motherboard because laptop of the same series will carry the same motherboard, the only difference might be the chipsets, but all your other hardware will be compatible to that motherboard. This is your model number you need: Toshiba Satellite A105-S2001

There is one seller on ebay offering a new A100 A105 motherboard price $79.95 part # V000068000 it is inportant to make sure the part number matches the original board or contact the seller for compatibility issues, shipping will be extra.
yes you can! compatible motherboards are cheap and easy to find for the socket 754 design compatible with your cpu. with prices going from anywhere from ~$50-$80. great places to shop include frys electronics, newegg.com, amazon.com and tigerdirect.com. when something like this happens to you its always a good idea to consider upgrading your computer as well you can find cpu motherboard deals anywhere from $100 to $200 with a huge boost in computing power. if you choose to go this route make sure your ram will work on the motherboard you are considering. goodluck
Most _desktop_ computers have a small "reset BIOS" jumper.
Most _laptop_ computers do *NOT* have that jumper; if there was one, a thief who stole your laptop could delete any BIOS-password, and then use your computer. So, to protect you, the registered owner, there is no jumper.
Most likely replacing your motherboard will cost a ton of money (either the part, or the work and labor will cost a lot) . It would probably cost less to buy a used laptop with the same specs: http://cgi.ebay.com/Toshiba-satellite-m115-s3094-core-duo-laptop_W0QQitemZ250273284600QQihZ015QQcategoryZ177QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem If your laptop is under warranty, disregard what I just said, but if it isn't I would sell your broken laptop on ebay, and buy a new or used one.
If you want to keep your old data, you can just swap out your hard drive.
