My washer is WM2277HW It is leaking from underneath the machine. Is ther something I can check?

Your leak could be coming from the rubber door seal. Inspect all the way around the rubber seal paying particular attention to the areas behind the rubber seal where it meets the wash tub. They wear with age and can develop small holes. When they start leaking it appears like water coming from under the machine. I hopes this helps.

There are several items that can leak on the inside. I may be of some service to you. I need to know the model and serial number so I will know wich machine is being worked on.

Open the rear panel on the washer. Check the 3 rubber hoses connected to the pump. Make sure there are no splits, or a **** in any of them. Also look at the pump and make sure the casing is not cracked and dripping (if coins enter the pump they can crack the casing, causing a leak). If there is a leak in a hose, replace that particular hose. If the pump casing is cracked, replace the pump.

All the things that greendude said plus check the seams inside the drum as if these have even slightly parted it could cause the leak you're describing. Good luck.

in my experience you would be much better off using powdered detergent instead of liquid. it will stop leaking down front and will not leave residue in tub that eventually leads to mold mildew issues.

That could very well be the line voltage suppressor (called a noise filter) that is built into the washer. Take the top off and follow the power cord into the machine. It connects to this component.

Easiest start is to take the top off and check for leaks maybe using a flashlight. Top comes off by removing a couple of screws in back, the sliding it rearward about 3 inches and then lifting up. Good luck. Report back what you find. Use comments.
