If the tray keeps opening and there is no misaligned media in the tray, your unit is probably defective.

Marantz CD5004 tray keeps opening problem

CD/DVD players use a protocol;
Open tray. Insert disk. Tray switch tells mechacon that the tray is shut. Attempt to focus on disk.
If focus is acheived, then it will spin up and try to read the disk otherwise it will ask for a readable disk.
If the tray keeps opening, I would suspect the tray detect switch is malfunctioning, maybe the drive belt has stretched.

XBOX360 disk tray keeps ejecting

This is likely the same issue occurring when the disk tray will not open either. Suspect your drive belt is worn and requires servicing. This is best done by an xbox servicing agent. Not too expensive. I have been suffering with a tray that will not open for over 2 years now, however, I am able to fix it simply by ensuring a disk is always left in the tray. It only fails to open if there is no disk in the tray. Even then, I can open it by lifting slightly with a paperclip.

Why does my cd tray keep opening in my laptop. its apresario cq62-421nr

The sensor inside the cd writer does not recognize the closing of the tray. Hence it keeps opening all the time. To stop it from opening hold the tray pressed when it closes for some time. The tray may stop opening. Sometimes it works. Else you have to repair or replace the CD writer.

When I press the Eject Button on the Bose 321 DVD Player the tray does not open up. I can hear the sound as if trying to open

normal issues with cd/dvd trays - gear/rubber of the tray transport worn out.

manytimes it helps if you always keep a cd/dvd in the tray (don't keep the tray empty)

it may also help if you can keep the bose 321 vertical.
