Open it up with a tiny screw driver and get a hair dryer. toast it up a bit not too much or you will mess it up. dry it just a bit bout 10 mins on low and occasionally on medium. then put it back together. if it works tell me. Rate me plz.

My treadmill got rained on last night and when I plug it in it turns straight on to 11mph even with the safety plug pulled out. Could it possibly go back to normal when it dries out?

Very possible. Suggest you take the electronics apart to help it dry out. Use pressurized dry air to blow water out. I would not just let it sit with the covers on.

Toughbook CF-29 computer died

Torrential rain storm left out in it running? I'm sorry to say there is only one thing you can do for this laptop. "Do not turn it on at all again" Take the battery out of it and take it completely apart and use a blow dryer and dry everything out. "Everything" you may already be to late. Board may be shorted out and fried I hate to say it.
So take it apart piece by piece and top case and bottom case and dry it completely out. So that there is nothing wet or moisture is dissipated and gone. That is the only thing you can do to salvage this machine other than a new board, rain and left running in the rain is pretty easy to figure out that you may have ruined your computer leaving it running in the rain. "Lets hope this will work for you" I would be pleased to know if it did solve this matter drying it completely out." Do not power it up again until this is finished. John

Dropped my Nokia n95 in the grass and it stayed out there while it rained for three days. When I found it, I dried everything but the screen does not seem to come on. The phone is coming on and it will...

****... i know this is late but if your phone ever gets dropped in water, quickly turn the phone off, take the phone apart (battery, and sim card), and put it on a bed of rice, and pour a lil more rice on top of the phone as well. I did this and left it over night and my phone was fine!
I know this sounds retarded but it works! RICE DISSOLVES WATER!
GOOD LUCK

8391D left out in the rain!

If the battery was connected you probably shorted out the battery. Shake all water out of drill and let dry. get a battery that was not in water, try this. If still won't work you will have to bring to repair shop. If you try and take it apart it may be hard to put back together.

Very old Leitz I believe 10 X 30. Left out in rain last night. water inside. How do I get it out? I unscrewed lens on large end, but water appears to be in area where mirrors are.

Firstly there are no mirrors, they are prisms. They need to be completely disassembled and dried out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE by someone who KNOWS WHAT TO DO. Seeing your post was in December I hope that you have sourced a good repair agent in quick time.

Razr V20 Camera Doesn't Open

There are a couple things that may be going on here:

1) Take it back to the carrier and see if they will replace it. Just tell them that the camera doesnt work. You dont need to volunteer that it was wet. They will be able to tell if they want to. If it was wet, your warranty is voided and they dont have to replace it.

2) rain has parts of dust and dirt in it. Drying the phone in the sun would have left that dirt behind and it could be on the connectors where the phone's main board meets the camera. The only fix for this would be to take the phone apart and try to clean the phone with rubbing alcohol QTip.

3) The battery, when it got wet sent a surge and short circuited the camera.

4) This is definitely a hardware issue and not a software issue. Here is a solution from another expert on this site: https://www.fixya.com/secure/support/t124873-camera_says_unable_open_camera,

If you are not comfortable taking the phone apart, then dont.
