Fisher paykel two .door showing F1 what does it men thas. what i dopls help me

Hi.

F1 error (usually accompanied by beeping) means Flood Alarm. The pressure switch detected water leak and activated the flood alarm.

Before calling a technician you can try disconnecting power and drying any water present at the bottom of the appliance. If that is not enough the bottom side of the dishwasher must be disassembled to test the pressure switch or to find out if a leak is effectively present. There are several parts that can trigger the same error (e.g. leaking water valve, defective control etc.).

If you need parts see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

Regards.

There is a F1 message on the panel and it is making a beeping noise

F1 Error means the flood switch has been activated
Possible cause - a flood has occurred.
Recommendation - turn off the power and water to the machine and call a repairman.

My recommendation, remove the lower strainer and check for dirt and clogging. Check that the level sensor has not stuck or clogged and that the level fill switch is not jammed. There should be a plastic pipe that goes to a diaphragm operated switch which controls the water level, also look for a possible float which might have got stuck.

We have a 23" Fisher&Paykel dishwasher and got

The F1 error coming on top drawer when operating bottom drawer is due to the thermal fuse blowing up on the bottom drawer and shutting controller power.

The thermal fuse could have blown either as a normal component failure or heater over heated due to thermostat failure. In any case this can be repaired by replacing the whole heater assembly as all the parts are integrated.

This is at the underside of the drawer and will need a technician to replace unless you are very familiar with repairing electronic dishwashers. The part look like this.

The way you have described the onset of the F1 error is not due to flood switch. You can confirm that the lights on the bottom drawer are out even though the top drawer is showing F1 and beeping.

If problem was flood switch then both drawers would show F1.

F1 means "flood. there is a flood sensor underneath the drawer, and if there is any water under the drawer the control will show that error. Check the drain hose linkage for cracks. Remove drawer and dry the area underneath.

F1 error

Hi,

The reason for F1 fault code in your dishwasher is due to the flood switch that has been activated in your unit. The best way to solve your problem is to turn off the water supply and power supply to your unit and call an authorized service center. These problems cant be fixed on your own.

Thank you !!

HI my fiser and paykel dishwasher is flashing f1 and is showing a spanner whay does this mean

The F1 error means a flood switch has been activated in the drawer. The spanner means you need to call a technician.

The possible causes are that the solenoid that controls the water inlet does not shut off or the sensor that detects the water level is not working. Also it is possible the water pressure is not optimum for the setting on your unit.

Hi Both drawers show error F1 flashing beeping with rinse light on and both pumps run after power is applied to machine

F1 error indicates flood switch in base has activated, meaning machine has leaked. This causes machine to drain continously, and can only be stopped by switching off power. Not easy to fix if you don't have experience- bottom drawer has to be removed to access flood switch, then machine needs to be test run and checked for leaks. Best to call the professionals!!

Doulbe Draw model receiving an F1 error message.

F1 indicates flood switch has been activated. I wouldn't advise you attempt repair on these drawers- they really require an expert to disassemble (I worked for F+P for 10 years!!). Depending on which model you have (DD603 or DD601v2), repair varies. 603 has a small circuit board that acts as flood switch- located in base beneath drawer- requires drawer to be removed for access. 601v2 model has polystyrene float that acts as flood switch-leaks usually caused by split lid seal(tricky to access- drawer has to be removed) In either case, a leak has occurred and activated flood switch. These drawers are very sensitive to detergents (don't use tablets!!), and the way they are loaded.
Would suggest you get service technician to remedy F1 fault
