Hi, I'm looking for a replacement motherboard for

I'd advise against getting a replacement motherboard for a laptop. Though it may sound convenient in some situations, it's often a better financial choice to buy a new laptop (and swap the HDD over, if need be). In addition to it being expensive, it's a real pain to locate them, as you've noticed. Not to mention, you'll probably encounter many compatibility issues unless you manage to buy the exact same motherboard.

If you insist, though, the place to find replacement motherboards for laptops is definitely eBay. I don't know if you've checked there yet, but if you haven't, that's where you'll probably see the most of them. Worst case scenario, I would find the same model with a broken screen or something, and then swap out the motherboard.

In any case, good luck, whatever option you should choose.

Can i change the motherboard of my hp g60 230us ? because i want to use my laptop for gaming purposes.

hi shubhang_01
yes you can but just to be sure that it's gonna be compatible to your computer's hardware components, check it online. try going to HP's website and look for the manual or specs of your computer. they usually have motherboards for sale also online. it's better to be sure or else you might encounter compatibility issues. try calling also to their technical support, they can assist you in looking for the perfect motherboard. If it is for gaming purposes, you better upgrade your videocard and memory modules as well.
have a great day!

Hello, Who can help me find out what's the problem with my Toshiba L350D laptop? The laptop doesn't start anymore. No lights switch on when connecting charger and pressing power. I checked the charger, the...

Is the power adapter putting out ~18 volts?
If so, the DC-in jack on the motherboard could be bad, but you say you checked that.. It can be replaced if you're good with a soldering iron.
Otherwise, I'd say you're looking at a replacement motherboard.

How to reset my BIOS Password if I forgot it

To reset BIOS please follow the below steps .

1 .First unplug all the power connections of your system ,
then open the cabinet of the system

2 . Now, look for the battery on the motherboard. Most batteries will look like a watch or hearing aid battery. Some will look more like a AAA batteries wrapped in plastic though.

Once you find the battery look at how it is held on the mother board. Most have a small clip that holds the battery in place. By removing the battery the motherboard loses its ability to hold memory, and rests the BIOS password. If the motherboard battery with a clip that sits on the battery check for a small clip on the side of the battery to slide it out.

Using a small screwdriver to slide back any clips and take out the battery.

Wait 5 minutes to reset the BIOS password.

Replace the battery, put the cover back on and restart the computer. Now the computer should have a cleared BIOS password.
