My eureka 2961avz bagless vacuum has no suction

I've checked for any clogs and can't find one and the filter is clean and I've emptied the vacuum of any dirt.

dirt is clogging at the entrance to the filter chamber instead of going inside. Have to pull clog out by hand.

There is always dirt all over the outside of the vacuum. Sometimes dirt will fly out of it.

The machine is great for picking up what others leave behind
but terrible for cleaning a dirty carpet
the filter cup is so small that the vacuum is useless for for any serious cleaning.

there is a round filter above the dirt cup, You have re reach in where you can't see and turn it counter clockwise and pull it down. That is the favorite place for dirt to hide, and the instructions are vague.

Get another vacuum to clean with, then after the floors look clean, use the Eureka. You will be amazed how much dirt it collects. Just do NOT try to use the Eureka on a dirty carpet.

Usually clogs are in the dirt inlet by the brush roll, or in the hose. Take the hose off from the bottom and see if there is suction, if not, then the hose is clogged. If suction there, then it is lower. Also is the brush roll turning, if not, that could be your problem.

My eureka 437 stopped sucking

Hello,
I believe the filter on your vacuum is clogged. Bagless vacuums require the filter be brushed or washed and dried, If they are not, the filter will clog, resulting in the reduction of suction. Clean filter about every 3 months or sooner if the same problem happens again. Hope this helps.

Kicking out debris

Your vacuum will kick back dirt if there is a clog of anykind, or if the filters are dirty. First check the suction lines for any clogs, if none are found, take out your dirt cup, and take off the filters. Normally there is a foam prefilter covering a paper filter - replace both filters. The reason this happens, is that the filters allow the air flow at a specific rate, creating the suction and they cyclonic action you see when you are picking up debris. I hope this helps.

No suction on main unit

Take the top cover off and check the inlet hose by the brush roll for a clog.
