MESSAGE: SYSTEM ERROR (H4-00) REFER TU USER GUIDE

HI, I HAVE AN AL-1655CS AND ONE DAY IT JUST POP OUT A MESSAGE IN THE SCREEN THAT SAID SYSTEM ERROR (H4-00) REFER TO USER GUIDE. SO I WENT TO CHECK THE MANUAL EN IT SAID TO CALL THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DEPERTMENT IN USA OR CANADA. I LIVE IN MEXICO SO I HOPE Y CAN GET ASSISTANCE FROM HERE. THANKS.

    the code they sent to you 14 is to clear all error but if there a part of copier need to replace it will not work

We had this problem when the power was fluctuating in our building. I called Sharp and they told me to clear this condition with the following code: #*C* and when the screen shows 00-00 enter 14 and press the green copy buton. This worked on the AL-1655CS. On the AL-1631 we had to do a similar thing: C<auto>C<auto> 14 <copy>

That error code is a low heat roller error. It could be the thermistor is bad on the fuser roller unit or the whole fuser unit may need to be replaced.

    The user guide will tell you that it is a heat roller. You can try unplugging the copier and turning it back on but usually the error will reapear and it doesn't fix the problem.



    Sharp makes it misleading but it needs to be fixed by a authorized technician. The information I gave comes from the service manual from Sharp itself.



    Authorized Sharp dealers have the real information on the codes.



    When I give these codes to you there comming directly from Sharp service manual.



    This is common error with these machines and they do need to be serviced on a regular basis.

    Keep in mind that is the thermistor, heat rollers, or lamp is bad on this copier. The clear condition will not work. It is not an acceptable fix per Sharp, but is used as test condition by service technicians to troubleshoot.

My boss has a Sharp AL-1655CS Copy Machine and it makes this awful, screatching noise when I try to copy anything. Now the System Error Code L1-00 shows up. Not sure what to do.


Your problem on scanner unite.May be your copier is now lock position.
Solve:Unlock position.Left side under copy Board.Then solve your problem.Or study your copier user manual.

Problem with L1-00 refer to guide. Lock is unlocked, lamp carraig moves freely, drives out, then goes home. When moving slow it stops and gives the above error code


When your copier arise problem on scanner unite.
If your scanner is lock position please unlock
or clean saner all surface.

hi maryanne,delete all the sharp AL 1655cs programme and reinstall the printer software (INSTALL PRINTER) if need more help please log on to sharp copier web site for the manual instruction..before that make sure your printer is compatible for your PC.

Sharp AL-1655CS ERROR MESSAGE


The [H4-00] system error popped up when the power went out of the house. I called Sharp Tech Support (1-630-378-3590) and was talking to their Tech Support in less than a minute.

The FIX? Just press the following keystrokes:
# * C * (That's pound, star, C, star) This will clear the display error, now press…14, then press the green button twice. This should let your printer start to warm up and you have fixed your problem.

Here is the issue from the documentation.

L1:Indicates that the Main PWB sensed that the carriage did not leave home after power up or after start is pressed. Turn the machine off and on. And make sure the lamp carriage is moving. If it is not moving, Remove the platen glass, and see if you can move the lamp carrage easily, or if it's binding. Then look to see what it hindering it. If it moves freely and nothing is catching the lamp, the motor has most likely blown a fuse. But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, often times there the lamp is hitting the sensor that detects where the lamp should be when in the park position. You may just have to bend the bracket out of the way or make sure one of the screws on the left side of the glass are not moved down to far.
