Got brand new toshiba satelite pro a210 from my insurannce company purchased from ebuyer with microsof vista business already installed however for the microsoft office 2007 the product key on authentication plate on underside of laptop doesnt work. please can you help. contact on 01353722781 or email sharongrimwood@aol.com. Yes, But understand this, we are not allowed to telephone people, we can only use this medium and you should receive an email regarding this reply I'm posting now for you personally.

To verify you have a full license for Office 2007 and not a demo copy (I don't know and you probably don't either) you need to call Microsoft licensing at 1-800-426-9400.

This is your only option and the above phone number is hard to find. Be prepared with your laptop up and running when you call. Sometimes I've been on hold for a long time and others I got through right away.

Sorry I can't help you further. There is no way for anyone to check online to see if your product key is either valid, a demo or a full license.

Have you tried using a different mic? If its a cheap mic It may have very well just quit working(or never worked).
Is it a new laptop? If not, any previous issues/problems?

"Apparently" the drivers are updated? "Apparently" isn't exactly a good term to use when it comes to something like drivers. Its either: Yes, they are or No, they are not. Make sure they are first.

To test if the mic is/isn't working go to Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices>Advanced Button(Bring up the Mixer)>Properties>Make sure Mic is checked in the list. Go back to the mixer, and un-mute the mic and slide the volume bar all the way if it isn't already. Now talk into the mic, is it playing threw the speakers? Yes? No?

From what you've provided I would guess its just a bad/broke mic. I'd suggest investing in something better, like a headset with the mic built in(as you'll probably need one at some point anyways).

Are you sure that your PC has a built in wireless function and not just a regular modem ??

You can purchase a copy of XP and install it, but it may void your warranty with the manufacturer. You can also try running programs in Vista using XP compatibility mode (right click on the program and select properties and then select the compatibility tab). There is also a great site for tuning Vista performance www.vistax64.com

Hi, its because its a new laptop, you have a sata hard drive in the laptop which requires sata drivers to install older versions like windows xp, only problem is none of the companys are releasing the drivers to put xp on them, so im afraid your stuck with vista on it. due to the sata hard drive.

Vista will not be the culprit here. The beep most likely meens that thee is a problem with the memory stick itself, especially if it boots normally when you take it out again. Motherboards are mostly designed to take identical sticks of RAM in pairs (Same brand, same model, same amount of memory) and sometimes, you will find that different manufacturer's RAM will not work in some systems.

Check to see if the RAM stick you are putting in is the same brand/model as the one already in. Also check to make sure it has the same amount of RAM on it. It could also be defective.

try to install more RAM on your laptop, Vista required 512mb of RAM but still this only a minimal system requirements and needs to be upgraded upto 1ghz to 2ghz..
