Question about Whirlpool Ovens
When the oven is in the self cleaning mode, is it supposed to catch the burnt on stuff in the bottom of the oven on fire?
If the door is sealed properly, there will not be enough oxygen to have combustion. If a fire develops, there may be a problem with the door seal. The self clean mode will raise the temperature to around 1000 degrees, causing the soil to turn into an ash.
