Panasonic camcorder The camcorder will not accept the tape

    everytime we click the reord button, 'check rec tab' pops up and it doesnt record.

no the cassette tape style mini s are now superceded, all the newer models use CF or SD card storage and many can accept cards up to 16Gb

Panasonic SDR-H40 HDD Camcorder has lines on sceen and freezing all the time


if this camcorder use's mini dv tapes try a new tape ..otherwise it sounds like a dirty tape path ..this is provided you have not dropped it..need any more info or its a different format let me know..farr64[colin]

Panasinic PV-GS300 Will not accept Tape. Immediately ejects new tape


Hi there, you should spray inside cassette compartment a contact cleaner spray carefully aim on the upper right position there's a cassette in sensor ,maybe needs contact cleaning.if problem continues the mechanism unit must be replaced,only drum has a part nr all the rest goes as a unit with only one part nr.

The cassette compartment on my sony handycam won't retract!


Take out the battery and the AC cord.
Turn the camera on (tape, memory, edit settings) for 15 seconds.
Turn camera to off setting.
Plug battery or AC cord back in.

After doing this, my camera accepted the tape - door stayed shut and tape descended into the camera.

I have the same problem, i was just using my camcorder and when i changed the tape, it says incompatble tape and now it wont play or record at all. Tape door will not open


the tape eject door will not open there is currently a tape in the camcorder (panasonic pv-l559)
