Make sure you have Windows Installer 3.1, MS XML 6.0, and .NET Framework 2.0 installed, then try again.

A message error said a message i tried to send using an email address i have used for several years could not be sent due to server error 530. recently windows 7 was installed in my computer. what do i do...

A 530 error indicates that the outgoing email server can not figure out who you are, therefore it is not allowing you to send email.

You did not specify what email program you are using.

You need to go to the email configuration and make sure...

a) you email address is correctly entered. Look for silly spelling mistakes.

b) Also check the entry in the configuration for "Reply-to". It should also have your email address in it. Some servers will reject mails if this is blank or incorrect.

Brand new computer and i did not install the adobe it came with the computer Vista basic and i get the 1311 error message when i try to run adobe computer 1 day old !

no big problm if u comp is new r old...

When you try to install Adobe Acrobat 6, 7, 8, or 3D on Windows, the installer returns the error message "Error [1311, 1335 or 2350]. Source file not found: [drive name]:\ Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." If you click Retry, the installer returns the error message "Cannot find the file Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab."
Solution Perform one or more of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Check the Acrobat CD-ROM.

Make sure that the CD-ROM from which you are installing is free of dirt and debris. If necessary, clean the CD-ROM with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Solution 2: Temporarily disable anti-virus software, and then install Acrobat.

For instructions, see the documentation for the anti-virus software or contact the manufacturer.
Solution 3: Extract the compressed installation files, and then install Acrobat.

  1. Right-click the folder and choose Extract All.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. To install Acrobat, double-click the Setup.exe file located in the folder that contains the extracted files.
Solution 4: Uninstall the CD-ROM drive and let Windows redetect it, and then install Acrobat.

  1. Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.
  2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  3. Expand the DVD/CD-ROM drives section.
  4. Right-click each device listed under DVD/CD-ROM drives and choose Uninstall. Click OK to confirm.
  5. Close Device Manager and restart the computer.
  6. After Windows redetects the DVD/CD-ROM drive(s), insert the Acrobat CD into the CD-ROM drive and install Acrobat.
Solution 5: Install Acrobat from the desktop.

  1. Insert the Acrobat CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  2. Copy the Acrobat folder from the Acrobat CD to the Desktop.
  3. Double-click setup.exe in the Acrobat folder on the Desktop, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
Additional Information Errors 1311, 1335, and 2350 occur when the Acrobat installer is unable to access the necessary files from the CD-ROM drive. These same errors may also occur if antivirus software interferes with an installation or if the installation files are compressed.

Error message when accessing internet explorer on the computer

This happens on installing vista the first time If u can install despite this message(ignore), then restart in safe mode and if your Vista is genuine then ask microsoft to send this particular file(SHELL32 if I h'nt forgotten) replace where the original is supposed to be and after that it should be fine. The Only other option is to Install WinXP_SP3 & enjoy.....sodeep

My Dell Dimension 2350 won't fully boot up. I have Windows XP. It gets past the log in screen and the icons come up, but it freezes up at that point. I am also getting an error message at the log in screen...

ViewMgr is related to AIM/AOL installs. It is not needed and from what I read, most find it to be a form of Malware of sorts as it opens a listening port on a specific port. Find it in your Add Remove programs and remove it.

Also, if interested, there is an alteration of AIM available from the website below which will allow you to download and install AIM and the program will remove all of the spyware-like software. It's called Aim Ad Hack and I highly recommend it over the traditional AIM.

I just got done setting up my windows mail and when i tried to send mail the error message reads..The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'hello', Account: 'Mail', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com',...

Since you have not signed up for Yahoo Mail Plus, they do not allow you to use another program to access your mail. They want you to use their WebMail Page so that they can serve you ads to pay for their service. They have an excellent Email Web Page, so it's a small price to pay.

But if you really need POP access and don't want to pay to get it, you could consider using Gmail. They allow POP access for free. Just setup a new Gmail account and go into the settings on the Gmail Webpage. From there, you can enable POP access. Be sure to write down the server information you will need to enter into your Email Program.

Good Luck with whatever choice you make!
