RCA P52755 ST buzzing audio

My television's audio is buzzing.   If you make the audio loud enough it drowns out the buzzing.  I do not have a manual since it came with the house when we bought it.   I think It is around 10 years old. What can I do to eliminate the buzzing?

Buzzing audio.. does the set buzz with the audio all the way down. sounds like a torn speaker to me.. disortion in audio is cause be this or bad audio ic
if the set make the noise with the sound down could be something else. This unit is not a dlp therefore does not have a color wheel

The High Voltage Blocks tend to go after this many years on these sets. This is the first thing that you should consider replacing. Many times when one thing starts to fail, others follow, so it may be wiser to just buy a new tv but if you want to fix it, this is the first part that you should replace.

Let me know if you have any questions about doing this, make sure you replace it correctly and good luck doing this

The color wheel is not the problem, this would be a high pitched sound not coming from the speakers, if its coming from the speakers, then its the HV block

Most likely the color wheel is the problem. This part can be replaced but is difficult and requires considerable dissasembly and then a difficult alignment process. Reccomend an RCA auth. service center for this repair.

If your Tv is a CRT, then most likely it is a flyback issue or the auto transformer is faulty. In either case, I wouldn't recommend you opening up the TV, as there are charges in there that can kill if you do not have prior experience.

And, unfortunately, even the very best brands are not recommended for
repairs after they have reach 8 years or beyond. This is because they
are too near the end of their normal life. Fixing this will cost some
money, but there is a very high probability that another failure will
occur soon after the repair; and again and again. Soon you will have
invested huge sums of money into it.

As to the particular repairs needed all indications, from the buzzing
and the high pitch sounds, are the high voltage and/or the deflection
systems have failed. These repairs result in repair costs of around
$250 plus or minus. Also, the manufacturer no longer supports models
this old and it may be hard to find replacement parts.

www.partstore.com does have a few parts for this model; the high
voltage splitter/distribution box is around $92, for example, if that
is one of the components that could have failed in the high voltage
area. (This could be a part of the problem).

My RCA 52inch DLP TV has 5 blink red lights and is making a loud buzzing sound. I am pretty sure it's the color wheel, but from your experience, could this be it?

the loud buzzing could mean something is stuck in the color wheel or that it's shattered. Either way, you're going to need a new color wheel, I agree.

If pictures tubes leak...Still repairable, but need be washer pure good ( usse alcohol 90%) and tied screws CTR gasquet. I hope this help you. Thank you

Great pic but bad sound

Your problem could be the main amp board, the signal panel or the audio processor board. You will need to get a service manual for this set to diagnoise these problems. Good Luck
