Question about JVC AV-48WP74 48" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
My jvc av48wp74 is having horizontal red convergence problems. this is after replacing the ic stk392-110 chips with stk392-180's and the 2.2 ohm resistors.when first turned on the picture was slightly out of focus, after auto convergence everything was perfect. when turned set off and on again the picture is double after trying to auto and manual converge found out that horizontal is unadjustable in the red and remains concaved up in the center from the bottom and down in the center from the top. Possible solutions? and how to test resistor in board?
You have to lift one side of the resistor from circuit in order to measure resistance otherwise a open resistor will not read open as you will be reading the resistance from the surrounding circuit. Always lift one side of a resistor out of circuit when testing with a ohms meter.
