Power to unit

I have a problem getting power to Air-Lap1131AG-A-K9 from a Air-Pwrinj3.

I am only seeing 6v dc not 12 of the 48.
Is there a certain pin out on the RJ45 from the injector to the AP.

Thanks ROB

Should use normal str8-thru cabling. I've used a power injector and regular eia/tia 568a utp cable before with no problems. Now I use a PoE switch so i don't need a powerinjector.

Cannot communicate with the access point, no info is sent back via telnet or any other method. I had my friend who sets up networks for a living try for 3 hours to set it up with no luck. He said maybe...

First thing you should try is to console to the device. Cisco has a proprietary console cable (serial on one end, ethernet-like connection on the other end). You can use PuTTy's ( Serial option to connect via the console cable. Make sure PuTTy has the correct COM port selected.

To re-flash the device, you'll need the original .bin file or have a valid login to download a new one.

Let me know if you can get connected via the console first.

How to delete the firmaware on the cisco air-lap1142n-a-k9 and then falsh the firmware again?

The flash procedure overwrites the installed firmware. If you delete it before hand, it won't fire up to accept the new flash. The only way you could do that would be if you had a chip programmer, which means removing the chip, inserting it in the programmer, then reinstalling the chip. Expensive, and not for the layperson.

Blue light instead of green

Green means the unit is up and running. It turns blue once the first client is associated with the unit. Blue is a normal status.

Reset my Cisco AIR-AP1242AG-N-K9 but still can't access the control panel using a console calbe and laptop. Using Cisco Cisco as user name and password. Note when typing the password nothing appears in...

Hmmm..., I assume you are using Windows..... Try just going to the Network, see if you router shows up if so.... Click on it... It should ask for a pin type in the pin that usually can be found on the bottom of your router... If not reset to factory defaults and in your broswer type in your IP address, do not use autoconfiguration.... On all Linksys routers the default username is admin (with the password left empty) from there you can set your password and configure your router for use.... Hope this helps ;)
