Question about Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Picture size I take pictures for an illustrated report I do. I download the pictures onto my computer and then transfer the pictures onto a page in word perfect x3. Some of my pictures won't transfer and my computer says it's because the picture exceeds 27" in height or width. I have never had this problem before, did I accidently put the camera in some mode thast created the picture bigger than a normal setting? I have already erased the pictures from the memory card. How can I fix this problem using my computer and how do I make sure this never happens again? Evidently the image is larger than the 8x12 page I am trying to put it on!

Your best bet is to resize the images. you can easly resize using windows or easier using the camera software, under zoombrowser go to internet then email emages, follow that then save the images to your computer then try those images. If could be that the ones that wouldn't transfer they could have been edited, if the DPI setting of the image has been changes or set in anyway that could be makign the images over 27"

On the camera you can easily change the resolution of fuure images y pressing func/set button and scrolling down to the bottom where you have L , M1 M@ M# S, try choosing S if your not planning on printing images other than on your report

Have a nikon coolpix 3200 installed the picture project onto computer but doesn't open when camera is hooked up to computer like it says it's supposed to. even when I open it, it will not transfer pictures...

Picture Project was retired years ago, replaced by Nikon Transfer and Nikon ViewNX. You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

When i take a picture and down load onto my computer, the picture size is too big on the computer screen.

You can edit picture sizes in various graphics programs, but if you just want to view the full picture on your screen then there are a number of viewers that will automatically size it to fit. The one I like is called FastStone. It is a free program you can download from download.com.

Card is Full. Can no longer take pictures.

You need to either offload the pictures via your computer or delete pictures from the card before you can continue picture taking.
Do you need a instruction manual so that you can perform either of the operations?
You can download the manual from
http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/a/finepix_a330/#windows
Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

What do i have to download to put pictures from my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S750 onto my computer?

Hi,
You have to install Picture Motion Browser on your computer to transfer pictures using Sony's default software.
You probably have a CD installer that came with this however, in case you dont have it, please download it from here.

Pictures cannot be download

When you try to transfer a large number of files (or a single large file) from a PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) device, such as a Sony Memory Stick, you may receive an error message saying that your computer cannot detect your camera or that, although it has detected the camera, the current picture cannot be copied. This happens because in older versions of WinXP the PTP driver limits file transfer to 2,048 files at one time and those files must be less than 210MB. If you update WinXP with Microsoft's latest service pack you should eliminate the problem.
