    Hello,

Windows 98 is pretty limited and ten years old. Your monitor is pretty new technologically speaking.

Still, your OS will support the basic resolution for your Monitor. However, your video card may not a probably does not.

You will end up in a nearly endless exercise in upgrading one component after another to user your monitor.

Do you think you may be better off spending your money on a second hand PC that is only 2-3 years old?

    Regards,
    Worldvet

Go to your monitor resolution and change it lower. Then change the refresh rate if you need to/

Settings are dependent on video card not OS. Try changing resolution to different scale.

Monitor not recognised

Many brands and models of computer devices are not automatically recognized, because they're not included in the OS database (which sometimes is updated). Without knowing the OS you're using, it's helpful to use the most current drivers, matched to your OS.
Just in case you didn't have the available drivers, here's a link to them on the AOC website:http://us.aoc.com/support/downloads/driver/63

I hope this helps!

I have a AOC 177sa-1 Monitor with a bad light bulb where can I buy a replacement so I can get it fix

Are you sure that the lamps are bad, very delicate repair works.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed AOC monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I hooked my new aoc 20' monitor up to our emachine and cant find my cd i got with the monitor to download. the monitor will go out on me few times during the day for no reason so am thinkin i need to...

You do not need the driver for the monitor if you are running XP, if you are running Windows 7 you will need the driver so you can adjust the resolution to the native resolution of the monitor.
Lack of driver for the monitor will not cause the black out problem.
You should try this monitor with another PC first to make sure it is not video card problem in the PC.
Is this monitor still under warranty.

Input Not Support

This means, that your operating system is not set to the recommended resolution of your monitor. Your monitor has a "fixed" resolution where the image will look best. You can change the solution in Windows XP if you right-click on a free space of your desktop, then choose "Properties". In the new window, that comes up, select the rightmost tab. There you can use the slider to adjust your resolution. Just try some different resolutions until the message disappears. If you use Windows Vista oder Windows 7 you can access the resolution windows by right-cliking on your desktop and selecting "Screen resolution".

Remove banner "input not support" in 19" wide LCD 917Vw monitor. i am working different operating systems development some i try to excute some work this banner will appear pls help me..

You PC video setting is too high for the monitor to support, you need to set the PC resolution to 1440 x 900 @60Hz, try that first. Here is the spec for your monitor: http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/aoc-917sw-lcd-display/4507-3174_7-33109821.html?tag=mncolBtm;rnav
Unless there are problemswith the logic board in the monitor if the resolution is already set correctly.

Monitors don't need drivers to function. Either you need to configure it or it's dead.
