D-Link DWL-G700AP Access Point

cannot access D-Link setup site by entering http://192.168.0.50 on my
internet browser Win XP sp2.or throu an static IP address as per their manual,tried both ways,on line tech support ect.This my second unit,first was purchased in 2003,when i connected it up to my home network router
LINKSYS WRT54G WIRELESS it froze all my computers up (5) i had to unplug it and reboot all 5 computers. Next i went out and purchased the new DWL-G700AP.Went step by step as per instruction manual again ,this time it did not lock up my system but i cannot get it to run. I tried everything,Disabled WIN Firewall,Disabled Trend Micro Firewall,even disabled the router Fire Wall,reset the eccess point,rebooted the access point,Dynamic or Static same results.....cannot access 192.168.0.50 on my browser,even tried it on the other 4 machines and same result which was suggested in their manual.
