Hi Could you advise where the wireless "switch" on a AMD 64 3000 is located [if there is one]. My wireless connection was lost last Sunday, and it is not a problem with the router. Sky have suggested it could be that the network adapter needs reconfiguring, but I just want to make sure it isn't something more simple than that [such as the wireless switch]. I have no longer the manual for this laptop and I have no idea where or how to turn this switch on and off. Thanks

Try recycling the router by unplugging it and plugging it back up.
Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on
both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.
Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle
the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function
key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12
key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will
have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower
with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display
Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.
Did you turn off your wireless antenna by accident? The on-off switch for Wireless LAN is located on your computer's right hand side - if that's turned off, both wireless and bluetooth will cease to detect any signals or connections.
HI, when you try to connect to the wireless network, you must be getting a message " turn on the wireless switch on your laptop " See there must be a sliding switch on your laptop. it could be on the side panel or on the front panel. Try to locate the wireless switch on the laptop. it must be having a wireless symbol on it like TOWER or Wireless signals. On some laptops it is a combination of keys like Fn+F2 or Fn+F5. If you have the user manual you will find the information about the wireless switch. Click Here for more info about how to connect to the network?

ok sounds simple this is common with l;aptops i would suggest
unhooking coneection for internet first (completely rebooting it )
cable also take the battery and the powercord from the router ad truning it off for about 3-5 minutes and reinsert it and reboot computer with adpter inserted from cable now if this doesn't work then for somereason you mite need to reconf. your pc 's internet hook up that is in your config.panel. let me know ok lala linda
