My DVD drive can read a CD-ROM and play an audio... (by 4 users)
HI this is krishna , I have a Sony Dvd-Rom problem i am facing is My My DVD drive can read a CD-ROM and play an audio CD, but it cannot play a DVD. My dvd driver it not detecting th dvd files at . It shows No disc pls give a solution and my E-mail id :krish_murthy121@yahoo.co.in

Hi My sony DVD drive can read a CD-ROM and play an audio CD, but it cannot play a DVD .

my dvd drive can't play dvd nor read it what should i do

I have the same problem! I even replaced the drive (which wasn't the problem). I was informed that it is a motherboard or operating system problem. I have tried everything, re-installing drivers, etc. The only thing I have not tried is formatting the hard drive.
