As soon as I turn my camera on, it shuts right off by itself. I've tried brand new batteries and this does not solve the problem.

I do not see a battery reset option on this camera... or battery save option.

My camera will turn on if I select the favorites side of the switch (to the left) and I can review all the pictures for as long as I want. If I turn the switch to the right for camera operation, I get 2-4 seconds of the camera attempting to operate, the green light of the current symbol (video, auto, whatever I have the circular dial set to) will flash several times, the lens sounds like its trying to adjust, the shutter opens and shuts, then it is dead. Very frustrating, I've had this camera for two yrs 5 months and have loved it - it's been very reliable up to this point.

I have one and my does not shut down right after I turn it on, but there is a battery save feature on it, You must have yours set to save the most battery... see if you can reset your save battery feature..
Hope this helps

Kodak easyshare Z650 lens extends and retracts

I only can think of two reasons. The first, the battery does not have enough power. As a safety precaution it shuts itself down, to avoid damage to the saved pictures. Because if the voltage is to low, it can't write with 100% accuracy.
Second: something is blocking free movement of the lens. This could have a cause inside the lens barrel, and you won't see a thing. It also could be a minute damage on the outside of the lens. Or what sometimes happens while putting the camera on, you touch the lens barrel. I assume you did remove any lens cap attached to the camera.
So if you can't see any damage to the lens barrel, charge the battery and try again.

Need to fix/replace my flash on a Kodak EasyShare

its not a good idear to strip your flash gun down inside the flash gun is a big capsitor that stores the power for the flash tube there is 1,000 of volts in it and unless its discharged first in the right way it will bite you or kill you if you get a jolt off of it, dont just short this capsitor out with a screw driver it will just blow the end off the screw driver,, like i sead, it bites!

Kodak Z650 won't turn on.

If you have an EasyShare printer dock or AC adapter, try those. If not, you will have to have it repaired, unless your battery is dead or the connections in the battery bay have a foreign object or corrosion blocking the connection.
