Make sure the window unit is tilted back. If its not tilted back in the window, it will drain out the front.

Window air conditioner is spitting water


Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

Window air unit is spitting condensation back into room.


Hello, most of the time this will happen when the AC is not tilted back in the window enough or if tne drain i s blocked. If the unit is level make sure it is tilted back in the window somewhat. If the window does have a drain make sure it is clean and the water is draining properly.

When the airconditioner is on cool.Water comes from the airconditioner inside and dripping on the floor.


If it's a car air conditioner, your condensate drain line is clogged. If it's a home window unit, it needs to be tilted outward more. The downward tilt should be no less than 1/4" per foot. If your unit is 18" from the window to the back of the unit, the back should be 3/8" lower that at the window....minimum.

The white clip is on of two located at the top of the window lifter, bottom of window You will need to take of the door panel and replace the missing clip in the window channel in the top of the lifter

Air conditioning unit is spitting out water


unit need to be tilted to the rear as it is installed in the window for proper drainage of condensation water off of the interior coil
the fan on the rear will pick up the water and remove it


tilt it back a little
