Question about Jenn-Air JDR8895AAS Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

Oven no longer works

Both of my ovens with not work. The buttons to control the ovens do not work either. When I push the buttons they do not make the beeping noise. My burners still work ---thankfully. I tried unplugging the range for 24 hours but it still does not work.

same issue... my buttons won't push or make a beeping sound. the stove top works fine, just not any of the buttons. I tripped the fuse and nothing happens.

We have a Jenn-Air dual fuel oven that's just over a year old. We heard a pop, then a fine smoke, like wires were burning. We turned it off at the fuse box. We were told the main keyboard has died and that it's rare; appearently not! We've been waiting for service for over three weeks and are starting to think we're going to have to find a solution by ourself. Any ideas?

    button panel doesn't respond
    oven comes on without warning!

We are experiencing many of these same problems. Currently the electronic pad is totally unresponsive. The cancel buttons beep but that is it. We have experienced the ovens coming on spontaneously. Ant the panel seemed to go from bad to worse. We had a spell where it didn't work well, then it worked. Now, it went from working sometimes if we found one button that worked to not working at all. We did think that it was worse after a lot of steam from boiling pots on the stove were directing their steam at the electronic panel. Maybe that is a contributing factor. Bad design if it is.

WHEN YOU TURN OVEN ON AND PUSH BAKE BUTTON AT 400 AND PUSH THE BAKE BUTTON AGAIN THE PANEL WILL SHOW 400 AND BEEP AS IF READY BUT OVEN NEVER HEATS UP. SOMETIMES THE DISPLAY WILL RANDOMLY FLASH DATE. ...

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

How to light pilot for oven in 1950's roper delux

If it is an insta-light, I just rebuilt a Roper that age, the instructions are to turn off oven heat control, wait two minutes, locate red button which you have done, apply match to pilot, depress red button for 5 seconds and that should keep pilot light on, the instruction manual states to hold match for 60 seconds prior to pushing button, then hold for 5 seconds, either way, you don't want to flood the area with raw gas, and yet still apply enough heat long enough to lock in pilot, has the gas line been loose? Make sure it is purged of air, again, don't flood area with raw gas, it is pretty typical pilot procedure, the worst part is finding the red button, usually behind a burner cover. So try holding the button a bit longer with your match on it, some take a while, worst is the control has gone bad, but there are replacement valves for this vintage, I did check,

Fisher and paykel saffron oven off auto setting

The current 2008 manual says...

Setting the clock
When first connected, or after a power failure longer than 15 seconds, ‘0.00’ and AUTO will
flash on the display. To set the clock, press the <hand> button and then the <+> and <-> buttons.
Note: Changing the time (by pressing ) will delete any automatic program.

However this had no effect whatsoever on our 2002 vintage model. Frustrated random button pushes suggested:
<timer>+<cook> (two leftmost buttons together) will switch you into time set mode where you can then adjust by the <+> and <-> buttons.

Kenmore gas range--oven won't come on

My oven will not work. After pressing the desired temp on the oven, the preheat light and oven light comes on. After about 15 minutes, the oven is slightly warm and maybe an hour later the oven may or may not heat to desired temp. Kenmore gas range model #790.72851301.

Oven controller not functioning

9. The time of day does not display on my electronic oven control. If I push the CLOCK pad on the control panel the time will display for a few seconds and then it goes blank again.
  • On many ranges with electronic controls the time of day display can by turned off or on by holding the CLOCK keypad down for 15 seconds.
Push and hold the CLOCK keypad. The time will appear for a few seconds, and then disappear and finally it will reappear and beep. Release the keypad and the time should continue to display. Follow this same procedure to turn the time display off.
