Sounds like the drain is plugged. You will have to remove the back panel to access the drain to clear the obstruction.

Water collecting inside fridge, under meat drawer

Yes most responses are the freezer drain even if it is in the bottom freezer. If the drain is blocked water will build up anywhere inside your refrigerator only because it has no place to go during the defrost. Defective door seals can also can make the problem much worse. Water setteling on bottom of freezer side and freezing also leaking. 2 fridges both doing the same thing . leaking on the inside and freezing and underneath water is leaking.

Clean out the defrost drain. There is a drain in the freezer that lets all the defrost water run under the fridge. If that gets clogged then all the water runs into the freezer and can even leak onto the floor

GE TFX20JR side by side/water leaks out freezer during defrost

Yes, you are correct, that is a drain. Use a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water to flush out the drain tube until water will flow out into the drain pan under the refrig. (where the air blown over it will cause it to evaporate)

DEFROSTING/ WATER RUNNING ONTO FLOOR & INSIDE FRIDGE

Check to see if the run-off tube at the back is plugged.

I dont know how old the fridge is - but if it a couple years old check at the back or the fridge - there should be a tube running down the back of the fridge down into the bottom tray. This tube funnels water from the freezer (condensation, or water from the defrost) down onto the tray holding the compressor where it evaporates with help from the heat off the compressor. Sometimes this tube can get plugged up with some scum or mineral deposits, causing the built up water to drain from inside the fridge.

The tube shouldn't be too hard to remove and clean out with some hot water and pipe cleaners. Had the same issue on on a GE fridge last year.
Hope this helps!

Water collects and freezes in the bottom of the freezer

Your defrost drain is clogged. Get all the ice out and get to the defrost drain hole at the very rear bottom of the freezer. I use a piece of plastic tubing to run down them and clean them out, but you can use a piece of wire if it doesn't have a sharp end that will damage the tube. You can also remove the rear cover of the fridge and you will see the tube going from the cabinet to the drain pan and clean it from there. Post back if you need further help.
