Question about Samsung HL-R5678W 56" Television
You've indicated that you could send instructions and photos on how to change the Mirror Light Tunnel on Samsung HL-R5078W (pn BP67-00218A). Can you do that for me?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi, if you did not get help until now, i can send you step by step instructions and photos how to do it. I did several of these and it is not a big deal. But you will have to take apart a very sensitive optical device and if you are not confident that you can do it do not start this.bp67-00291a is the part number for the light tunnel.post a message here if you need that file with instructions

No, I don't know of one. The service manual might or training manual but you would probably need to buy that.
I've never done one on a Samsung. Do you actually need to change it or just wondering?

If all 3 leds blink, it can be the lamp, ballast (lamp driver), color wheel, or dmd board (all are engine parts = engine failur). its usually the lamp, but you can listen to troubleshoot. when it turns on, you will hear the fans come up (humm..airflow noise), then you will hear the colorwheel (high pitched squeel.. it will come up to speed) and then the ballast will fire up the lamp.. if the lamp doesn't fire, you will hear the spark gap fire (a 1 second buzz noise indicating bad lamp).. the gap will fire 3 times, they tv will then retry again and again until it shuts off and kicks out the error. this power up path will help you listen to find your problem. i can assist further.

that buzzing sound is likely the power supply letting you know it is overloaded. check the output voltages for 1 that is missing or low, it probibly has a shorted component on it.
