Upload pictures from olympus c-765

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Card Full when not full

I would format the card. Make sure you format the card IN the camera. Don't use a card reader or your pc. If that doesn't work (I'm sure it will), then you have a bad card.

Picture error on Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the picture error message and the cards can be used again.

Need to delete photos from C-765 Camedia

At this point I would probably format the memory card in the camera. This will permanently erase all images that have been written to the card. To do this: Press ok - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to Card Setup and then right arrow to Format - Choose Yes and then press Ok. All images are removed and going forward it should only download current images.

What did I pay $13.99 for? I thought I was getting some expert help

Hi webgirl,

Your title/concern "What did I pay $13.99 ...", are you referring to availing of Premium Solution or a Live Session? For inquiries of this nature, pls send an email to General Support support@fixya.com.

As for your concern on a DX 1 Mb card not initialized and/or can't format, it could be that the memory card has been corrupted. Since neither the camera nor Windows can format, perhaps you can try and use HP Drive Key Boot Utility available here. Of course formatting would erase all and everything inside the memory card.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I had the same problem so i copied all my pictures except the one that would read that the card could not be read and then i deleted the stupid thing on the computer then i went and was able to formet and that was wierd i had 768 pictures and when i would scroll to the 765 i would get that error so of course has to turn the camera off and back on and hope to not scroll to that one. But it's gone and so is everything else. Now a fresh start.
