The resolution output of your computer does not match the set. Find out the native mode and refresh rate that your TV can accept for the computer input. Set up the display properties in your computer to match to the TV set, if the display card can handle it. Then this should work.

Just to let you know, I found that these types of TV sets, unless it is a very high end expensive set, are not very good computer monitors. They are really designed for TV applications. When you get this going, you will see what I mean.

Olevia LT23HVX screen resolution

what kind of cable are you connecting with? If you are using a Composite or S-Video cable perhaps you may want to use the VGA cable instead and see if that corrects the issue.

How do I see VGA in put on screen

First, is the TV the only connected monitor? Second was the TV on and set to VGA (press the Input button and then up/down arrows) before the computer was turned on.

If you are seeing an invalid mode message and the TV is the only monitor attached, you need to shut down the computer and leave the TV on the VGA input. (Turn off the computer or press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice.) If this doesn't work, you may need to use another monitor and adjust the resolution output for the computer's video and then connect to the TV.

If you have another monitor, you may need to make sure that the VGA port is enabled. (Some laptops will have this disabled in the BIOS. Depending on the brand of computer, you can access the BIOS by pressing Esc, F1, F2 or F10 repeatedly just as you turn on the computer.) Next you may need to adjust the active display. In Windows 7, right click on the desktop where there are no program icons or windows. Then select Graphic Properties. Set the computer for monitor 1 or 2, extended display or both (at least on my HP laptop). Click Apply and then confirm your . (alternatively: Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display) For my desktop, this is set under Screen Resolution in the same manner.

I hope this helps.

(at least on all of my computers, if the TV is on first, Windows 7 will autoset to the best resolution that the graphics and monitor can handle.)

Format not supported when i try to use my emerson flatscreen as a monitor. new computer and tv .

That usually means the "Resolution" is set too high. Try to start in SAFE MODE, press F8 at bootup, and choose, Standard VGA Mode, or boot to the safe mode desktop, then set resolution for say 800x600 32bit. Then reboot. Hopefully you should now be OK.

Samsung LN-T4661F will not display PC; displays 'mode not supported'. Using a VGA cable to connect laptop to tv

Look in the manual for the TV and determine which platform is supported. VGA, XVGA, SVGA etc. Set your computer output to the proper mode and the unit should work. Let me know how you make out.

Envision L19W761 LCD TV - VGA mode failure.

The resolution or refresh rate of the computer is not compatible with the TV. Before the computer starts loading Windows, start tapping F8 and select "Enable VGA Mode" from the menu that appears, this will set your computer to a very low resolution (640x480). I believe the option is actually called "Enable low resolution video" on Vista, it's VGA mode in XP. Now you should get a picture on the TV, work your way up from there.

Ilo 42'' says no signal on VGA when connected to a computer

Snap off/fully remove pins 11, 12, and 15 from a spare VGA cable and use this to connect the ILO tv. These pins are used for identification of the monitor by the PC. The video signal is now displayed perfectly on my ILO tv, in all supported resolutions.

Monitor outputs from PCs can be very fustrating. First of all, is the PC a laptop? If so most of them do not have a dual monitor capability for supporting an external monitor, or if they do it can be difficult to get it to use both monitors at the same time. Try updating the drivers for the video board. Most of them are sold with drivers that are outdated.
