Question about HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer

Printer ink sensor problem?

Machine won't print. It states the magenta ink carteridge is too low therefore it can't print BW. Carteridge is 2 weeks old and I only print in BW. Installed new magenta carteridge and it still says ink too low to print. It appears to be stuck in this loop because it can't do any function at all now, not even send out a fax.

I have a similar problem, but it says all the ink is empty. We've tried three new sets.

In my case it's the cyan cartridge, which shows as empty, even when a new full cartridge is inserted.

How to reset carteridge

not possible legally.
new info chip required for cartridge.
3rd party inks WILL cost more ( if you include the damage they cause) in the long run - known FACT.
strongly recommend you revert back to HP inks as soon as possible.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THE INK ERROR BECAUSE THE INK IS PLACED BUT STILL SAYS CONSULT USER GUIDE

Unfortunately, if the correct Dell cartridges are in place and fully seated, the cartridge missing message indicates that the sensor in the printer isn't correctly recognizing the cartridges. If you have used non-Dell cartridges or refilled cartridges, try new Dell cartridges and check for signs of ink leaking in the system. Some printers have a removable print head that can be cleaned or replaced. I'm not sure about this printer.

If the printer is under warranty, contact Dell.

I hope this helps.

The waste ink collector pads are getting full and this is a protection indicator.
Either get the machine serviced or it may be cheaper to replace it-[depending where you live]
There are tricks to keep the machine going- but eventually the you will get ink leaking all over the place.

Deteriorating Print Quality

This is Maltesecross. Turns out that the faintness of my printed pages was in fact due to a low ink cartridge, even though some pages printed out fine and others half-good. Eventually, all pages turned faint, and upon re-installing the driver, I got a low-ink warning (the first one ever). Putting in a new ink cartridge solved the problem for me.
